Finally, you are near the geocache. You pull your car into a parking lot next to open field. You immediately recognize the only other car in the parking lot. It belongs to Paco, a friend from the local geocaching group. He got here before you and is going to beat you to the cache if you don’t do something quick!

You look at your GPS receiver and then again at the field. You see that there is a large, think cluster of trees between you and GZ (Ground Zero, the location of the geocache coordinates). You can either try to cut straight through the trees, or just run in the open field along the outside of the trees as fast as you can. You aren’t quite sure which route would be faster.
